It has been said, "Books are among the great ministers God has given to men." A well-written book, whether fiction or non-fiction, creates the lingering impression in the reader's mind that he has shared in the joys of the characters or been spiritually uplifted.
For a Christian, reading naturally begins with the Bible. Today there is a wealth of material which can greatly supplement the Christian's diet of Bible reading. Bible study guides, concordances, and handbooks all help illuminate what the Bible teaches. Devotional guides help the reader in his meditation on God's Word. Christian novels, both for children and adults, provide enjoyment while magnifying Christian values. Biographies and stories of personal experience set Christian examples, and bedtime stories for little children help introduce them to the great truths of the Bible.
The best place to find this Christian literature is in the church library. It provides our congregation with books not available at public libraries that will allow wholesome reading for the whole family. Our church library has a wide variety of books for all ages, as well as periodicals, albums, video and audiotapes, and visual aids for teachers. Cassette tapes of the services can be ordered in the library.
We encourage you to visit us soon, become acquainted with what is offered, fill out a library information card, and take advantage of the vast reading experience awaiting you.
"Til I come, give attendance to READING, to exhortation, to doctrine." I Timothy 4:13
