Each Sunday morning & evening, members and friends of Calvary Baptist Church meet to worship the Lord. The Word of God is preached and those in attendance are spiritually strengthened through the Holy Spirit's work in their hearts. Singing plays an instrumental part in the service as does brief times of prayer.
The youth ministry is available to young adults who are in seventh through twelfth grades. Calvary's youth ministry strives to support teens (and parents) as they navigate these exciting, and sometimes confusing, years. Spiritually, the teens are provided with a Sunday school class and special Wednesday evening services that can deal with the issues that are pertinent to them. A devotional challenge is given at each teen activity to help them further reinforce their beliefs and to provide a salvation challenge for anyone who might not yet have accepted Christ.
Just into college or well into a career, this dynamic group includes single men and women whose goal is to especially demonstrate a love for the Lord by engaging in edifying friendships, energetic outreach, and excellent service. This class offers single people an opportunity to grow spiritually and to be a part of a church family while getting established. Fun activities and friendship engendering service opportunities are scheduled year round.
Young And Married Saints (YAMS) is a fellowship group within Calvary Baptist Church, designed for married couples whose combined ages are 80 and under. At Calvary Baptist Church, we have a vibrant community of young married couples, some with children, some without, who are learning to balance the demands of marriage, family and career. Married life brings new challenges and it’s helpful to adjust to those challenges with the help of other couples, which is why this group was created.
We are thankful for the adults that serve in various capacities in the church. From long-time teachers, ushers, sound system and website administrators, to those who serve so faithfully in the nursery Calvary Baptist is blessed with many choice servants of the Lord.
The G.E.M.S. of Calvary Baptist Church consist of those who are grandparents, parents with married children, or those who are over the age of 50. All who fit into this bracket are welcome to join us.
